FREESTYLE

Freestyle offers a full learning programme to young people aged 14 to 19 who are not in School, Working, Training, or in College. 

On the programme you can work towards many new qualifications and certificates whilst having fun!! and could possibly earn up to £20 per week.
Transport is covered if needed, and there is child care provision offered at
Mullion YMCA.

Freestyle runs over two days a week Mon and Tues at Mullion YMCA,
And Wed and Thurs at Penzance YMCA.

Coffee and Tea available.
Open between 10 - 4 pm
Wednesday — Friday
£3.00 per hr with tea or coffee.

At the new YMCA Mullion Day Nursery we will provide high quality childcare, with experienced and qualified staff working closely with parents and carers to meet the needs of each child as an individual. We believe that young children should learn through play and our aim is to provide a safe, secure, friendly and relaxed environment in order that all children will achieve and develop during their early years.

Play Based Learning
Daily activities are based on the new Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum and is enhanced by great staff and a high standard of resources and equipment. The curriculum divides into 4 areas of learning:

• A unique child
• Positive relationships
• Enabling development
• Learning and development

The learning goals are:

• Communication, language and literacy
• Personal, social and emotional development
• Mathematical development
• Knowledge and understanding of the World
• Physical development
• Creative development

Inside:
There is a large multi-use dedicated nursery area that can be sub-divided when appropriate. The building and nursery have been recently refurbished to a very high standard and all facilities are purpose built and child friendly. The following staffing ratios are maintained at all times:
Under 2's 1:3
2 year olds 1:4
3 – 5 year olds 1:8

Outside:
We have a designated nursery garden that is adjacent to the rear of the building. It may be small but we use every inch to the maximum! We have a mixture of fixed and mobile play equipment, a planting area for flowers and vegetables, a sand pit and shelters. We make use of the garden area all year whatever the weather. The garden can only be accessed from the nursery.

Term time	8:00am – 6.00pm	Under 2’s	£4.25 per hour
		Over 2’s	£3.60 per hour

YMCA Mullion has a small number of Business Offices for hire and lease which come full fitted with furniture, computer internet access, heating and lighting. Telephone use can be arranged but will be charged as a percentage of system lease and call usage.
